Brian Molko e compagni, dopo circa tre anni di silenzio, tornano con un album tutto nuovo, il sesto della loro carriera: "Battle for the sun". L'altra novità dei Placebo è rappresentata dal batterista, Steven Forrest, che va a prendere il posto di Steve Hewit, che per un decennio ha militato nella band. Il singolo che lancia il nuovo disco si intitola "For What It's Worth", musica piena di energia e di ritmo. Sembra che il tema dominante dell'album sia il ritorno alla vita, dopo giorni bui e difficili. Che i Placebo si stiano allontanando dal punk? Probabile.
