Il singolo si intitola "The Shock Of The Lightning" e anticipa il settimo album in studio degli Oasis, "Dig Out Your Soul" in uscita il 6 ottobre 2008. Noel Gallagher si è occupato del testo ma anche della parte strumentale di "The Shock Of The Lightning". La famosa band di Manchester torna, dunque, dopo più di tre anni di silenzio seguiti a "Don't Believe the Truth". L'attesa sembra essere stata ben ripagata dato che sia "The Shock Of The Lightning" sia gli altri brani del nuovo CD sono di ottima qualità.
