"Fly è una delle mie canzoni più belle in assoluto. In questa canzone si parla di volare in alto a fronte di ogni singola avversità che ci si presenta. Parlo di come i media hanno cercato scoop su di me e mi ha fatto sentire soffocata. Dopo anni ho radunato il coraggio in me stessa. Credo di rappresentare un intera generazione in questa canzone". Questa la dichiarazione che Nicki Minaj ha rilasciato ad MTV in relazione a "Fly" il brano che vogliamo presentarvi e che fa parte dell'album di debutto della stravagante ed incontenibile cantante americana, intitolato "Pink Friday". Abbiamo fatto la conoscenza di Nicki Minaj grazie al singolo "Super Bass" che l'ha catapultata nell'Olimpo delle star della musica pop. Accanto a lei, in "Fly", c'è anche la bellissima Rihanna che sembra aver stabilito con Nicki un rapporto piuttosto stretto e particolare, tanto che su Twitter le due cantanti hanno iniziato a scambiarsi messaggi ammiccanti e un tantino pepati.
