(PubliWeb) Charlie Brown del nuovo singolo dei Coldplay è esattamente il Charlie Brown dei famosi fumetti Peanuts. La canzone rappresenta il terzo estratto dall'album Mylo Xyloto ed è stata scritta da Will Champion, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman e Jonny Buckland. Il video ufficiale che accompagna “Charlie Brown” è stato girato a Londra ed è diretto da Mat Whitecross, lo stesso regista dei video di “Paradise” e di “Every teardrop is a waterfall”. I due ragazzi protagonisti della clip sono due giovani attori britannici: Alisha Bailey, divenuta famosa soprattutto grazie alla serie televisiva “Misfits”, ed Elliott Tittensor, giovane e fascinoso interprete del telefilm “Shameless”. Il video musicale, ad essere sinceri, non propone nulla di particolarmente originale visto che mostra i Coldplay impegnati in una performance live all'interno di un locale in mezzo ad un folto e scatenato gruppo di persone che ballano e si divertono. Ci sono luci, fluorescenze, riflessi e poco altro. Forse dai celebri e celebratissimi Coldplay ci saremmo aspettati uno sforzo maggiore.
