Working on a Dream è la canzone che Bruce Springsteen ha dedicato alla vittoria del Presidente Barack Obama e, quindi, è anche il brano che il Boss ha presentato in anteprima il 16 novembre 2008 durante la partita di football tra i Dallas Cowboys e i Washington Redskins ed ha poi eseguito dal vivo nel corso della cerimonia di insediamento di Obama a Washington. Il nuovo disco di Springsteen, il 24esimo della sua carriera, esce il 27 gennaio 2009 e porta lo stesso titolo del singolo di lancio: "Working on a Dream". L'album è comunque interamente ascoltabile e scaricabile da internet (link di seguito), prima ancora di arrivare nei negozi tradizionali. Anche il Boss, dunque, ha deciso di ricorrere alla Rete per mettere a disposizione la sua musica, una strategia che, evidentemente, paga e, soprattutto, cerca di arginare in qualche modo il pericolo rappresentato dalla pirateria.
